The technicians of generator set manufacturers concluded that the bubbles in the diesel engine water tank are generally caused by the high-pressure gas in the cylinder channeling into the cold water channel. The causes and elimination methods of gas channeling are as follows.

1.缸蓋平面加工不平或變形，造成漏氣。應磨削缸蓋平面或更換缸蓋。

1. The plane of the cylinder head is unevenly machined or deformed, resulting in air leakage. The cylinder head should be ground or replaced.

2.裝配不當，造成缸套臺肩處斷裂而竄氣。按規(guī)定方法換缸套。

2. Improper assembly causes fracture and gas channeling at the shoulder of cylinder liner. Replace the cylinder liner according to the specified method.

3.未按規(guī)定力矩擰緊缸蓋螺母。若力矩太小，缸蓋沒壓緊，高壓燃氣就會竄入水道。應按規(guī)定力矩擰緊缸蓋螺母，并定期重新擰緊。

3. The cylinder head nut is not tightened according to the specified torque. If the torque is too small and the cylinder head is not compressed, the high-pressure gas will flow into the water channel. Tighten the cylinder head nuts to the specified torque and retighten regularly.

4.氣缸墊使用時間過長，被沖壞或燒損，密封性變差，造成漏氣。要更換氣缸墊。

4. The cylinder gasket has been used for a long time and is washed or burned, resulting in poor sealing and air leakage. Replace the cylinder gasket.

5.缸套臺肩高度不夠或機體上臺肩孔深過大，造成缸套裝入機體后，凸出機體平面高度不夠，甚至下陷，燃氣就會從臺肩處竄入水道。因此，裝配前應試裝，檢查凸出量，并保證其在允許范圍內。

5. The height of the cylinder liner shoulder is not enough or the hole depth of the upper shoulder of the engine block is too deep, resulting in insufficient height of the cylinder sleeve protruding from the plane of the engine block or even sinking, and the gas will flow into the water channel from the shoulder. Therefore, trial assembly shall be carried out before assembly to check the projection and ensure that it is within the allowable range.
